For the two assignments above I was given the character models and asked to create hero lighting for them using Maya.
Interior Lighting

This project was my first experience with lighting interiors as well as using Nuke. I was given the room and all of its assets and asked to light it as I please. This included creating a mood board and choosing a back plate.
Alien Dogs

Before beginning this project I was presented with 9 character models, including 3 different alien dogs, each posed with a happy, sad, and scared expression. The requirement was to choose one of each character without repeating emotions. Using the skills I had learned up to this point I was tasked with putting each dog in front of a backplate of my choice and lighting them accordingly. This project was also my introduction to color keys. Using photoshop I colored over the models and their back plates to decide how I wanted the lighting to look. After that, I used Maya to create the hero lighting and Nuke to composite.
